*Camila has limited availability*
Camila is the Principal Clinical Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Camila is also a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. Camila is interested in working with women, neurodiversity, and the LGBTQIA+ community and aims to provide her clients with a safe and inclusive environment. Camila is also experienced in working with clients aged 15 years and above who are experiencing common psychological difficulties such as life stressors, self-esteem difficulties, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, social/emotional difficulties, and grief and loss. Camila also has a special interest in childhood trauma, working with adult children of emotionally immature parents, and is knowledgeable in the area of narcissism.
Camila's strengths include her humour and compassion - which are at the core of her therapeutic approach. Camila champions her clients to live authentically and to rid themselves of the societal expectations that harm them. Camila is also passionate about challenging the beauty ideal. She encourages self-expression in areas unrelated to weight and shape. She focuses on self-acceptance, Health at Every Size, Body Positivity, Body Neutrality, building self-awareness, self-confidence and self-compassion.
Camila is bilingual and understands the complexities experienced by culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Camila is trained primarily in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and has also been trained to use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles. Camila likes to incorporate Mundane Mindfulness techniques and assist clients in building awareness and self-compassion, as determined by the unique presentation of each client. However, Camila's approach is tailored to each client and she does not take a structured approach unless it is suitable.
Camila understands that therapy can sometimes be an overwhelming experience for some clients. She uses evidence-based psychological interventions and takes a person-centred approach to ensure that her clients feel safe, comfortable, and understood throughout the therapeutic process. Camila is interested in helping people build confidence in their abilities and works collaboratively to achieve this.

Disclaimer: The Healing Mind Hub prioritises the safety and well-being of our clients and staff. In the event of Extreme Fire Danger days, our services will transition to Telehealth. On Catastrophic Fire Danger Days, we will be closed unless Telehealth remains a viable option for both clients and clinicians. This is to prevent unnecessary travel and to allow everyone time to implement their Bushfire Safety Plan if required.
Your understanding is appreciated as we prioritise everyone's safety during unpredictable circumstances.
